It’s back!

The creepy caravan of the Carnival of Darkness is slowly rolling it’s way into the hills of L.A. Bringing horror and fright for us Angelinos. Metaphorically speaking of course, cause if they really were in a caravan coming to L.A. they’d be stuck until November in the parking lot also known as the I-5 freeway. Where do I come up with this stuff?

Filmmaker Alex Bram sent me an email about his diabolical creation known as the Carnival of Darkness. I must tell you, my girlfriend and I attended last year’s COD and although we were late (I publicly blame her) we arrived in time to see a few of last year’s short films. Some were creepy films, some had some comedic gore in them…awesome!

Although we did not get to meet any of the filmmakers or attend the panel discussion, we had a blast!

New Hope for Horror Genre Showcased at Film Festival
HOLLYWOOD, CA – October 1, 2010 – Filmmaker Alex Bram presents the most promising
new voices in horror at the second annual Carnival of Darkness Film Festival. The most
haunting and disturbing horror short films from across the world will be presented on a THX
Authorized, state-of-the-art screen at LA FilmSchool this October 28th.

A LIVE PANEL EVENT spotlights current trailblazers making new horror cinema history:
Director Paul Solet (“Grace”), Writer Producer Jeffrey Reddick (“Final Destination”), Director
Alex Ferrari (“Red Princess Blues”), Director Richard Gale(“Criticized”) and Writer/Producer
Trent Haaga (“Deadgirl”).

This is more than just a screening of a bunch of films. It is a surreal experience. “Invocation” a
LIVE electric cello performance by Tina Guo will kick things off at 7:30 pm. Arriving fans will
travel through a twisted art gallery and lobby filled with horror collectibles, DVD’s, posters,
music, t-shirts and comics relating to the genre. The horror shorts film screening will begin at
8pm, followed by the filmmakers panel and awards ceremony.

Most of the material is too
intense for younger viewers and no one under 17 will be admitted.
