Almost a year ago I wrote a blog post about California fires and zombies. It’s amazing how every year in L.A. we go through major floods, land slides, fires and earthquakes.

I remember last year, my girl and I got tickets to the midnight showing of the “Dark Knight”. 15 minutes into the movie there was a 5. something quake that shook L.A. The tourists and “out of towners” got up, looking like panicked prairie dogs, and began running out of the theater. The rest of us native Angelenos just looked around and said things like: “Shhhh” or “Felt like a 5” and continued to watch the movie.

It’s no surprise that we have major natural disasters here in California given that our state is as diverse with it’s land as it is with people.

I wanted to share something with you guys. Something that saddens me.

What makes this worse is that there has been a few fatalities reported already. Two firefighters have died battling the out of control fire.

I hate to see the city that I call home and the city that has been so good to me go up in flames.
The ash rains down day and night, the smoke fills up my home and workplace. Even my dog is not happy about it. She refuses to stay out long when we go for a walk.

Check out this incredible shot. These are the San Gabriel mountains and the foothills. I work 5 miles south of those mountains.

You see that major intersection in the bottom left side of the picture? I work about a mile south of that. So as you can see, the view is phenomenal.

So in gesture of good faith, take some time off from your daily paranormal readings and send out some good vibes to us Angelenos and to the victims of these fires.
