No, this is not a story about Orang Pendek, which despite that some refer to it as Indonesia’s Bigfoot is actually quite smaller than a human.

A Big deal about footprints

A mystery is afoot: The hundreds of strange, large footprints all over a tarred road near the Endau Rompin forest reserve in Johor Baru.

JOHOR BARU: It’s a strange sight indeed – three sets of muddy footprints, one set looking like it belonged to a tiger, another like it was an elephant’s and the last resembling a human’s but much bigger in size.

The trail of footprints that stretched close to 1km near the Endau Rompin forest reserve have retirees Sia Chwee Khim, 64, and her husband Lim Teong Kheng, 66, puzzled and very excited.

They believe the last set may be that of the mythical “Bigfoot”.

This is not the first time a Bigfoot like creature has been reported in Malaysia:

I get the distinct feeling the reporter is trying not to laugh there at the end.

Personally I call this recent report a hoax, or as others have suggested, elephants using the road, and overlapping prints. Though even there I wonder, get your feet muddy sometime and walk a kilometer. How far do you think you will continue to leave muddy footprints on pavement?

Or, just possibly they were doing their small part in looking for Malaysian flight 370.
