So, this is how it went down: An Anonymous man walks into eastern China’s Wenling zoo and hands zookeepers an odd looking animal.

Sounds like a feasible occurrence, except, nobody can identify the small furry creature with the big brown eyes.

It’s definitely an interesting little guy with a long nose and strange paws with sharp claws. The fur is just as odd as it is mostly white but then there are the splotches of brown and orange.

Some are sure it is some sort of Monkey, while other believe it to be a Bush Baby. The fact of the matter is, they don’t have any idea what it is. Maybe the GT readers can identify it?

If this cute little chap looks a wee bit confused, it’s no wonder.

His big wide eyes stare out at the world around him – which in turn is staring back at him because nobody has seen a creature quite like this one before.

With a nose that looks more like a rodent’s but long, pointy paws and white fur dappled with brown and orange, he is quite unique.

And zookeepers at Wenling, in eastern China, who were handed the animal by an anonymous man, have been unable to work out exactly what species he belongs to.

They think they are looking at some strange type of monkey – but other students of nature might recognize the characteristics of a bush baby.

As he sits in his cage, the creature therefore awaits an uncertain fate.

And the zookeepers sit and monitor his development and hopes he grows up into something slightly more recognizable.

It’s definitely one of the weirdest animals I’ve ever seen before. Maybe it’s some sort of Bigfoot hybrid and will grow to be…OK, maybe not….

Oh, I almost forgot the most intriguing part of the whole thing: Before the anonymous stranger left the creature he gave them some very explicit instructions. He told them to never feed it after midnight and to never, ever get it wet! Hmm, I wonder what it all means?
