When Bernadette and Leonard Braley found several muddy tracks outside their home in Gibsonville, North Carolina, they thought that they looked a bit strange. The couple then decided to measure and photograph them just in case it did turn out to be of importance.
It wasn’t until several months later when Bernadette saw a documentary on Bigfoot that got her thinking about those muddy tracks.
She did a quick Internet search and found Bigfoot Lunch Club, a group that follows Bigfoot sightings, and there is one in North Carolina. Bernadette emailed her muddy footprint photos to the club. In February, the Braleys were invited to Troy to talk with a group from the Animal Planet television network that was doing some filming for a six-part series called “Finding Bigfoot” that started airing this month.

I’ve yet to seen the first episode of he “Finding Bigfoot” series. I’ve read mixed reviews about it, but I must say that it does sound interesting. The photos on the above article at first looked to me like they could have been caused by someone wearing large rain boots that were caked with mud. Giving the appearance of a rather large foot. Then I saw the photo of the gait and wondered what height this bipedal creature had. The footprints were measured at being 12 feet apart!
Of course, I must always come to level-headed rationale when writing about the weird. So then I ask:
Could these prints be explained by means of a hoax?
The answer could be just as simple as the question.
Don’t miss the show on the Animal Planet. Finding Bigfoot can be seen Sundays at 10pm e/p
