Everyone has at least one movie from their childhood that creeps them out every time they watch it, even as adults. Willima Blatty’s “The Exorcist” is probably high on the list.
What freaks me out is a movie made in the late 70s or early 80s called “Dark Night of the Scarecrow“.
The first time I saw this movie I must’ve been in third grade or something. I think it was channel KCOP 13 in Los Angeles that played “Dark Night of the Scarecrow” one bright summer afternoon. My life changed since. I was more terrified than anything. “Dark Night of the Scarecrow” was written by J.D. Feigelson and directed by Frank De Felitta.
Frank De Felitta is most famously known for his involvement in the Doris Bither case (The Entity). Frank De Felitta wrote the novel “The Entity” after spending time with Doris and interviewing her.
“Dark Night of the Scarecrow” is by far one of my favorite cult horror movies, it ranks just below “The Return of the Living Dead” on my scale. If you’ve not seen this movie, get ready for a blast from the past.
Turn off the lights and get the popcorn ready…
