With much buzz going around the world about the May 21st “doomsday” prophecy, residents in east Los Angeles managed to capture something quite odd over the southern Californian skies. It wasn’t anything related to what the failed prophet claimed we would experience. It was an UFO in the truest sense of the word. And no, this isn’t the Battle of L.A.

YouTube user PlaybackMediaService captured a strange object slowly ascending on that clear L.A. evening. What at first appeared to me to be a balloon, seemed to have other smaller orbs around it. If you look around the three minute mark, you can see what I’m talking about.

Not to say that this couldn’t be tethered balloons, but the object’s movement strikes me as strange. What’s even stranger is that around the eleven minute mark, we see a cluster of these objects hovering near the original one.

Although the screenshots I took are horrible due to the quality of the camera being used, the point I’m trying to make is that there were other objects hovering in the same manner as the first one, just that they appeared minutes after. Could this be something as intriguing as UFOs keeping an eye out on the “doomsday believers” ? or could this just happened to be a coincidence of the date and someone releasing several balloons at once?

The video is inconclusive (as usual) but maybe someone out there can explain this. It could be something as simple as a grand opening occurring in the city and balloons being released. We’ve seen that before in the NYC UFO sighting.
