In case you didn’t know, that’s the infamous “Friday The 13th sound” when Jason Voorhees is creeping around the woods, stalking the drunk and horny teenagers. The sound was derived from manipulating the statement by Mrs. Voorhees: “Kill her mommy!”. The “ki” comes from “kill”, and the “ma” from “mommy. Now you know.
In case you also forgot, today is Friday the 13th. So bust out the popcorn because there’s a lot of good stuff to watch on TV tonight. Not to mention the premiere of Cropsey.
Ever since the scene on the first Friday The 13th where the kid Jason Voorhees pops out of the water and pulls in the people in the boat, I’ve been deathly afraid of open waters. Lakes, ponds, oceans…screw all that. I’ll tell you this: If I’m ever swimming in a lake and feel a hand grab my ankle, I’m ripping out my own throat on the spot. No joke.
