James Leininger and his parents are convinced he is the reincarnated soul of a WWII Pilot

Reincarnation. The belief that our souls can come back after death and inhabit another physical body, is something many people believe in throughout the world. Stories of people remembering distant past lives have been told throughout the ages. What makes these stories incredible is that the person who claims to be reincarnated, sometimes have very intimate knowledge of faraway places, people and stories.

I ran into this story about an 11 year old (at the time) boy who claimed to be the reincarnated soul of a WWII pilot. His parents fully support the idea and encourage their son to pursue the investigation into the claims. The case is being dubbed the “most documented case in reincarnation”. Something I disagree with.

A child telling war stories and having night-terrors is not enough to proclaim reincarnation. Although I cannot explain how the child had intimate knowledge of the pilot’s siblings and shipmates. What I would like to know is how well was this child tested in regards to authenticity over the claims?

Of course, there is also a book written about the extraordinary claim and being pushed by the child’s parents.
