More news is out on Todd Standing and his association with Finding Bigfoot. It would seem Todd’s tall tales were challenged by the Finding Bigfoot team and Todd lost.

What’s that you say?

There were plenty of rumors and rhetoric flying around regarding the upcoming season 2 episode featuring Todd and his Sylvanic claims. As I reported last week, some are convinced that Todd and Matt Moneymaker are in cahoots to perpetrate a hoax. Still others thought Todd would most certainly redeem himself.

Unfortunately for Todd, word is allegedly leaking from that shows taping and it doesn’t put Todd in a good light. In fact the Finding Bigfoot crew has apparently debunked Todd’s claims and proven what we here at GT were claiming in our battle with Todd, that he is in fact a fake.

Here is a statement from the BFRO forums:

The wildly overblown, self-serving assertions made by Todd Standing in those Canadian newspaper articles are quite misleading. We interviewed Todd Standing, as one of several witnesses in Alberta. He used the opportunity to drum up publicity for himself in Calgary papers. That’s what he’s all about — he’s a publicity hound. We interviewed him and basically debunked him on camera. His tales were full of contradictions and couldn’t stand up to our questioning.

Usually the four investigators are not unanimous when some of us feel a witness is not credible. In Todd’s case we all came away feeling that he is not credible, and we said so afterwards.

While this does sound like Todd Standing, I have to say that I make no claims as to the veracity of the above statement. It could be the truth and based on our interactions with Todd, it likely is.

If this is true, then it would also prove that Finding Bigfoot is not teaming up with Todd to perpetrate a hoax after all. I wonder how Tim Fasano is taking this news? I will admit, he was the main source of my previous article on this subject, but I have since discovered that he’s a bit too over the top for my taste.

This is not to say that I support Finding Bigfoot as the more episodes I watch the more red flags I see popping up. In fact, some might say the cat got out of the proverbial bag and Matt Moneymaker had to do a 180 to avoid being exposed. Of course I’m in no way making such claims, I am merely providing thought provoking scenarios.

To tell the truth I have always thought Finding Bigfoot had a fair chance at….Well, finding Bigfoot. With a little nip here and a little tuck there it could be a decent show.

I’m trying to maintain neutrality here, how am I doing?

I guess we won’t know the complete story until the episode airs, if it airs. However, I will keep my ear to the pavement for further information on this hot topic.
